Here’s a link to a little poem written by some lovely people from New Addington who came on my Hidden History of Croydon walk on Sunday 19 July 2015:
A THANK YOU FROM THE GOOD PEOPLE OF ST EDWARDS NEW ADDINGTON
Thank you for the underground tour on Sunday. I knew some of the stations quite well but learned a lot more, and the crossrail garden at the end was a surprise. PS I hadn’t realised you are Postcode Man but found out yesterday when looking for comments on the Highpoint caryatids, which I saw in Highgate.
Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed our little jaunt on the Underground and made the connection to my postcode adventures
Great walk yesterday. Learnt lots I didn’t know before about the Underground and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed the walk, Sheila. Thanks for the feedback.
The walk opened my eyes to new areas of London and made me observe the architecture more closely. Thank you for a fascinating morning
Great walk on Saturday from Covent Garden to Stockwell in the footsteps of van Gogh. Should are a learned and erudite guide and it was fascinating! Many thanks.
I went on Stephen’s walk Walking Tour – In Vincent’s Footsteps: from Covent Garden to Stockwell February 2022. He is obviously a history buff and shared so much more than Vincent’s footsteps! I will surely be back for another walk the next time I am in London.
Another first rate virtual tour from Stephen – a knowledgeable and well delivered hour, so interesting. Thank you
I did In Vincent’s Footsteps (‘the Van Gogh walk’) today and thought Stephen was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Thank you very much.
